"Kupuli" is a Santali word that means "Queries". This journal, coming out from an institution located in a place populated by a considerable percentage of indigenous people of India, is a modest attempt to accommodate critical inquiries sprouting out of literary and scientific minds. The journal not only seeks to address queries from different minds but also wishes to do so through languages used by the variant people and races of the region. We hope that the interdisciplinary and multilingual nature of the journal compliments the diversity of human experience and knowledge.

PS: Please note that the journal is published by Government General Degree College, an institution directly under the purview of the Director of Public Instructions, Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal and hence is a non-profit endeavour.
